Now I understand why you split your rim. I have loved reading your many posts and I”m wanting a Shawn fix when you are back in the states. I’m sensing a book out of all of these posts………just say’in. I miss you my friend.
Hi Jim,
The verdict is in- the rim split because I had too much air pressure in my tires. They are fat 2.5″ tires, and I was running 70psi. The bike shop says I should be running 35/45. The bike shop also said that they should have told me and are going to replace the rim.
I’ll be home in a couple of weeks Jim.
